SPECIAL EVENT:

Global Justice Ecology Project‘s Executive Director, Anne Petermann and Orin Langelle (Gallery Director) worked on two of the three films listed below which the ¡Buen Vivir! Gallery for Contemporary Art is showing on Tuesday, August 2nd for Buffalo Infringement Festival.

The films Langelle and Petermann worked on were The Zapatistas and the Rainforests of Chiapas, Mexico and A Darker Shade of Green. Langelle, amongst other things, photographed stills for both of those documentaries in Chiapas, Mexico on two of his many journeys in rebel territory.

The ¡Buen Vivir! Gallery is located at 148 Elmwood Ave, Buffalo, New York 14201.

*SOULJA (9) copy The ¡Buen Vivir! Gallery for Contemporary Art announces the closing reception for the exhibit SOULJA on Friday, July 29 from 6-9 p.m. SOULJA features large prints, bronze sculptures and murals from New York City artist Cassandra, with pieces exploring themes of feminism, homosexuality, Latin culture and more. Cassandra will give an artist’s talk on her work at 7 p.m.

The closing reception for SOULJA will take place at the ¡Buen Vivir! Gallery for Contemporary Art, 148 Elmwood Avenue in Buffalo. The reception will include complimentary wine, hors d’oeuvres and music.
